It is refreshing and the perfect summer cocktail. This will be the first hotel you see on Instagram for our trip.

Grand Hyatt Washington D.C. Watermelon Martini

Ingredients:

2 ½ oz Tito’s vodka
½ cup fresh watermelon cubes
½ oz simple syrup
Decorative green sugar (for glass rim)

Directions: 

Muddle watermelon
Add to shaker with vodka and simple syrup
Shake and strain into martini glass with green sugared rim

Neither one of those museums in this particular package worked for our family so we're visiting the International Spy Museum and Newseum instead. After talking with fellow writer, Karen Dawkins of Family Travels on a Budget, who just did a press trip to D.C., I felt the Crime Museum would be too much for my 5-year-old and she would be scared. She is also scared of mannequins so I knew a wax museum would upset her as well.
